How LocalVerity works

What we are

LocalVerity is a Columbus-area local directory built on one idea: “verified” should mean somebody actually checked. We verify business identity and licensing against real records — starting with Ohio’s state licensing system — and show the source and date of every check on the listing itself. We launched with two directories: home services in Clintonville, and funeral homes & cremation providers across Franklin County.

How we make money — and how we don’t

• Free listings are genuinely useful and stay free. Verification never costs a business anything.
• Businesses can pay for a Verity Profile — an enhanced listing with expanded verified details, photos, and analytics. Enhanced placement is always clearly labeled.
• We never sell rankings. Payment does not change search order, and it never will.
• We never sell your information to multiple businesses. If you contact a provider through LocalVerity, your inquiry goes only to that provider.
• Grief-support and consumer-rights resources are never sponsored and never monetized.

How AI is involved

LocalVerity is operated by LocalHub AI. AI systems do most of the day-to-day work — research, drafting, and checks — under a human owner’s direction and a published set of standards: every fact needs a source, quality review is separate from writing, and pages about sensitive subjects follow strict rules against pressure or manipulation. AI does the work; the standards govern the work; a human is accountable for it.
